Ahh London. Whenever I remember that I live a five hour drive away I instantly feel depressed. It's one of my favourite cities in the world and there's so much to see and explore. If I lived closer, I'd be catching the train in once a week for sure. Nevertheless escaping to my favourite place in England is always a pleasure and sometimes a road trip is just what you need.
The whole reason we went to London is because it was Jack's 23rd Birthday and we decided to book a few days before we set off to Sardinia for a wedding. We didn't get to London until around 6pm, so we settled in to our Air B&B then headed out for a late dinner at Pizza Express where I opted for a salad which looking back was ridiculous because let's face it I am the pizza queen! The following day was Jack's Birthday, we caught the tube to Shoreditch and browsed around Box Park. I really loved it despite so many people saying it's too mainstream now but I loved the feel of it and I adore the idea. We went to the top with all the food and had a delicious falafel pita (oh so mainstream!). It was such a chilled day and just what we needed, we stopped off at Covent Garden to have a ponder and oops I treated myself to a Bobbi Brown lippy (no regrets). We then headed to Greenwhich where we had the most amazing dinner at Wagas - Teppanyaki is the one guys. Our feet were still tired and we decided to go on the cable car which was so lovely and we got a pretty decent view of the city just as the sun was setting. All in all a very chilled and relaxing trip to London. I already cannot wait to go back and explore some more.
