Salty Toes & Ancient Trees In North America

We didn't do much in Salt Lake City, it was pretty much a stop over location but we had such a memorable night there as we got to go to a drive-in cinema. I have always wanted to go to one ever since I saw Grease when I was younger. There were loads of American pick ups lined up, and of course our big old bus blocking the view. We got out our mattresses, my M&Ms were clutched to my hand and we all watched Jurassic World on the big screen. Perfect.

Before visiting the glorious national park that is Yosemite, we stopped off to get our toes salty and have a lot of photo fun in the Bonneville Salt Flats - mainly known for its use of land speed records. It was so vast and you were just surrounded by endless white ground, hills and sky. We all spent a good hour taking perspective and jumping shots - well aren't we just the coolest.

We made it to California, our last state. I wish we had more time to explore Yosemite National Park, it was amazing, full of mountains, towering trees and waterfalls. We stayed two nights at Yosemite and the temperature was crazy hot so both nights we spent cooling off in the nearby river. Jack had an inflatable turtle and was clearly loving life, we were all loving life.

Every picture looks so incredibly peaceful & one of my life goals is also to go to a drive in cinema, such a shame we don't really have any in the UK! Lovely post :-)
