Today I'm talking about kindness and it couldn't be a more perfect time to share this post with you. When Cotton Traders got in touch with me a few weeks ago about getting involved with their kindness campaign, I jumped at the chance. What a wonderful way to promote kindness and to be encouraged to throw our love around like confetti - because of course, that's the way it should be.
I received this package yesterday filled with winter warmers and little things to make me smile - thank you Cotton Traders! How pretty is that floral mug, I cannot wait to snuggle up with some tea and my new hot water bottle on a chilly evening! They suggested that I could re-fill the box with treats and re-send the box to someone I think would love a little surprise. I filled the box with cosy treats such as a cinnamon candle, socks, a colouring book with pencils, nakd bars, lip balm and a card with a kind message inside - I hope they will like them (I won't say who this is because they're probably reading!). Doing something kind always makes me happy and fills me with love. It makes you cherish the little things and the people who matter to you. Life is so precious and you never know what could be around the corner so I think it's so important to try and spread kindness and love everywhere you go.
I think it really is the little things which can make a difference; from the most simple things like
giving your mum a cuddle, visiting a friend with a packet of cookies, giving a homeless person food, donating money to charity or using your voice to spread a message. The possibilities are endless but no matter how big or small, every little sprinkle of kindness can make a world of difference.
