8 Struggles Of Having A Baby Face

Hands up who shares my problem of having a baby face. Guys I understand your pain so let's share that pain together...

1. Here we have the obvious reason; you will always look about 15 and that comes with a number of disadvantages when you are a 21 year old.

2. Buying alcohol is just god damn awful and embarrassing; "Oh I wouldn't of even said you were 18". Oh well, thanks so much for that lovely compliment!

3. Just face it, your selfie will never make you tumblr famous, you have chubby cheeks not cheek bones no matter how much contour you use *cries*.

4. You constantly look like you are that loser trying to hang around with the older people - "Who's younger sister is that?" Nope, just baby face getting in the way again.

5. Whenever you smile you are frightened of the chance someone may pull at your round, chubby cheeks.

6. "You are SO CUTE" - No, please stop.

7. "You should be happy you have a baby face, imagine what you will look like when you are older!" - Clearly you do not understand our pain, you should probably go.

8.  And one that recently happened to me: "Oh so what year are you in school?" FOR REAL?

Please tell me I'm not the only one? But hey, at least our baby photos will always be cute right?

  1. I LOVE this post!!! At my 22nd birthday drinks, I was the only one to be ID'ed!!! And I'm the eldest in my group. I've even been known to be ID'ed to even be in the pub... mortifying! Hopefully though, number 7 will be true, and all our friends will look 45 at the age of 35 and we will still be rocking that baby face life without people thinking we are mutton dressed as lamb!! As annoying as it can be now. Great great post!

  2. Ahaha! I loved this post! I can relate so much to this! Especially the "Imagine what you will look like when you are older!", I am so tired of hearing this sentence all the time! Everywhere I go, you can be sure that I'll get IDed, I am a 23 yo girl, trapped in a 16 yo body!

  7. I feel your pain, even if I am only the grand old age of 17 I still feel as if I look 12, and obviously so do other people! It sucks - and I hate it when people say 'oh I wouldn't say you look 17' its just hardly a compliment right? Haha, such a good post!

  9. I used to think this while for quite a while, and it's only just stopping and I'm 22, I get a mixture of opinions now from 18-28 so who knows, but I don't mind if I look young, one day we will kill for it so enjoy it!

  10. Haha yes, I love this post- so funny! I don't know if I necessarily have a baby face, but everyone always tells me I look way younger and once someone gave me a kids club (13-15) brochure when I was on a cruise...I'm 21! Haha

  12. I can definitely relate to this post! However, I'm now in late 20's and I am beginning to love the fact that I look younger and STILL get ID'ed haha.

  15. OH MY GOD OKAY STORY TIME BECAUSE I RELATE TO THIS SO MUCH IT HURTS. It was Saturday morning, I was still in pj's (of course) and the doorbell rang. I opened the door, to which I was greeted by Jehovah Witnesses who asked, "Hi! Good morning, is your mum in?" HAHAHAHAHA to this day, this tale lives and I always tell it as a joke. I must've looked 11 or something. I am.... 24.

Way to go us baby faces.

  17. I can really relate to this. I'm 23 and constantly get told I look no older than 14/15. Then the usual sentence from number 7 comes out.

I also get annoyed by people saying 'you'll be grateful when you're 40...' Not helping me now!

  20. This was quite an interesting post. I actually had no idea it was such a struggle, but I have felt bad for people with baby faces well into their 20s. It is "adorable" but I understand your struggle! xx adaatude.com

  21. Every single one is spot on. But has your mum ever been asked if your playing in the play centre? (Im 22 and we had taken my son!) I was so embarrassed when my mum said "she's 22 and it's her sons that's going in" CRINGE! :( haha!

  22. Ohhh hahah I TOTALLY get this- I look pretty much identical to me at 15 still, I've even found myself getting jealous of friends who develop wrinkles when they smile (but then remember they'd kill to NOT wrinkle haha)
