Good morning, good afternoon, good evening to you. I'm a lover of the great outdoors - hm, actually if you were to ask me that in bed, or snuggled up in a blanket, I'd probably say the opposite. But once I'm out in the fresh air - I'm all for it. The other weekend the boyfriend and I wanted to go on a little explore. It was chilly and we were certainly gagging for a coffee.
We decided to head for Penrose, it's a National Trust location and walkers and cyclists just love it there. Penrose has Cornwall's largest lake, and although it's a little trek to walk to the end of the lake to be greeted by the sea - it's well worth it. It's a great location to snap away until your heart's content, there's also 'nature gym equipment' like monkey bars and planks of wood to do sit ups. I didn't use them. It was cold, and to be honest I was doing enough exercise, right?!
We grabbed a coffee from the little cafe, stopped many times on nearly every bench going and simply enjoyed the views - says the girl clearly on her phone in the photo... it's gorgeous though isn't it? The lake seemed never ending and when we reached the sea, we sat on the sand and watched people fishing and dogs running around for a while, until we began our journey back to the car.
If you're ever down in Cornwall, give Penrose a visit because it's just beautiful.
