I'm back with another 'Outfit Diaries' post and today we have my lovely friend Jen. We went for walk around Trevaskis Farm, ate tasty cream teas and met some pigs. We found ourselves by the ducks, and thought it would be the perfect spot to snap away at her outfit!
As Jen will share with you, she's often found in her trackies, browsing eBay for the next best buy and climbing into a men's hoodie. We can all relate right? Sometimes comfort it key, and we all need those days but much like Jen, adding something glamorous into the mix can make such a difference...
Jen! What are you wearing?
I'm wearing my favourite shoes. My 'Snow Boots' by Timbaland, a New Look swing dress, Topshop hat and Debenhams coat. I'd grab this coat if my house was on fire!
Tell us a little bit about why you choose this particular outfit
I ALWAYS dress for practicality, I live in Newcastle where it's always cold so my warm boots and hat is a must. I tend to unknowingly pick boyish clothes but I am girly at heart, so that's why I always try to add some aspect of glamour. Today it's the dress!
Describe your style in three words!
Girly meets tomboy.
What shops do you like to go to for a shopping spree?
Primark is my guilty pleasure. I wear quite a lot of layered plain clothes, so I stock up there but I get treats from Miss Selfridge and Warehouse.
Do you like shopping online - if so, what are you favourite online stores to browse?
I actually hate shopping online, I get bored of flicking through pages and normally end up doing an obscure Buzzfeed quiz... however I do LOVE getting a bargain on eBay - when I know what I'm looking for!
What's your go-to clothing for comfort?
Tracksuit bottoms and converse.
Would you rather wear heels with a LBD or skinny jeans?
Skinny jeans with heels.
Do you have any style inspirations?
Not really, I just take inspiration from people I see around me on campus at Newcastle Uni.
What's one fashion statement you completely disagree with (e.g. crocs!)
Girls who wear black bras with white tops. I know you have a white bra at home, c'mon...
How do you think your personal style is unique to you?
I wear men's clothes! I can often be found in trackies and a hoodie one day, then a dress and brouges the next. I dress depending on my mood, what I have to do that day... and to tell you the truth - how late I get out of bed in the morning!
What are your thoughts? Can you relate to any of Jen's thoughts on comfort, inspiration and good old trackie bottoms?
