Pumpkin Picking

Autumn - you never disappoint

Can you tell I've jumped right into autumn? I've never gone pumpkin picking before, but when my friends suggested it I was totally in. We have this farm nearby and it's completely free to roam around, say hi to piglets and pick your own fruit and veg. This was after we had a quick stop at Starbucks for a pumpkin spiced latte - standard.

It was clear we were happy with our picks, well, some more than others! They were only babies but we knew they'd do the job. I felt so much happiness as we wrapped up and went on the search for that 'special' pumpkin and what was better, they only came to 50p.

In the shop there were all kinds; multi-coloured, lumpy, small, large, you name it. It was such a lovely day and that night we carved our new friends, drank coffee and played board games. What do you think of my pumpkin carving skills? Not too shabby eh, let's hope it lasts!

Take a watch of a little video I pieced together of our day - there are piglets... so what's not to love?!

What are you up to this Halloween?

  1. Aww the pumpkins look so cute, I love how they're only little baby ones haha - I'd love to go to a pumpkin patch/farm, maybe next year though!

  4. Every year I think to myself "I'm going to go pumpkin picking!" and, without fail, I never get around to it. It's posts like this that make me feel a bit better about that! This looks like such a good time! Love the cute carvings!
