6 Posts To Read This Week

Happy Sunday! Oh guys, I am so tired. I'm currently sitting in my newly purchased New Look starry pyjama bottoms, bra off, RuPaul on in the background while catching up on blog posts. But sometimes, this is what you need to give you the chance to wind down after a busy week. I have become so inspired by some of the bloggers out there at the moment, I've been reading such lovely and thought-provoking posts and I just have to share some of them with you.

Katy Belle's Picking Yourself Up After Your Confidence Takes A Hit

This is one of those posts that everyone can relate to in some way, whether you live with the glass half full or you struggle with confidence - we all have rocky patches. I for one can easily be at rock bottom due to over-thinking and not having the right perspective on things.

Katy highlights how it can be easier than you think to pick yourself up, with simple things like doing what makes you happy and learning from your experiences. I think we all need a reminder that everyone goes through this and it's all about moving on the best you can.

Ella Master's Finding New Love For Old Clothes

I adore Ella's blog and her Instagram, and as an artist she is always creating engaging content. This week Ella shared a little fashion insight, with falling back in love with old clothes. I'm the worst for buying clothes, being obsessed with them but then hanging them up and forgetting about them. I get bored easily but after reading Ella's post I'm going to search through my wardrobe and see what gems I can piece together.

Wooden Window Sill's A Girl's Weekend Away

Alice wrote about staying in touch with friends and shared the most amazing getaway with hers. You have to see the snaps of the AirBnB, it's so dreamy. This was such a lovely read and has made me want to text all my girlfriends. I'm not the best at texting people but one thing I love is meeting a friend after a long time and it's like nothing has changed.

Love From Berlin's Internet Killed The Radio Star

A photo posted by Rae (@lovefromberlin) on

Rae spoke about how she is in the generation of people who were able to experience life before digital. Children nowadays don't go out anymore and knock on doors, they text to say they're outside instead and it's crazy how the internet has consumed us.

Thinking about a world without social media is an interesting concept, it's also something I talked about in my previous post about rating others and the future of social media. Although there is a lot of negativity surrounding the online world, Rae makes a great point that people who create thoughtful and insightful online content should be celebrated. Can I get an amen?

Martha Jane's 5 Ways To Help Somebody With Depression | World Mental Health Day

Martha never fails to inspire me, she's up there with my favourite bloggers with her thoughtful and insightful posts. Last month, Martha spoke out about mental health, a subject which is close to my heart. It can be difficult to help someone who suffers from depression, as most of the time they will disregard any help from you. It's all about ending stigma and undersanding what someone is going through. It was helpful for me, so I hope it can help you to.

And by the way isn't Martha killing this outfit?

Hannah Gale's 19 Things We All Secretly Love About Coming Home From Holiday

A photo posted by Hannah Gale (@hannahfgale) on

Of course Hannah Gale was going to make it on the list. She never fails to create incredible content and this week was no exception. Nothing beats returning to home comforts after being away for a while. Duvets, tap water that tastes like your water and home cooked food. SHE KNOWS.

What posts have you been loving this week?

  4. All of the posts that you have put up are now on my to read list - I think I am going to head over to Love From Berlin first as I often wonder what kids of today would do without Snapchat or just general lack of technology and have to actually be on time when you say you will and call somebody's house phone and ask for them rather than just texting!
