Mousehole In January

Good morning to you! Today I wanted to share a collection of photos Jack and I took in Mousehole over the weekend. Despite living in Cornwall my whole life, I have only visited this tiny fishing village for the first time over Christmas. It's pretty well known for its Christmas lights, which fill the alleyways, hang from buildings and even make an appearance in the harbour with its very own loch ness monster!

We decided to head back over the weekend. There is something about the character of this village I absolutely love, it's so quiet and the perfect spot to wander around on an afternoon before the sun goes down. Just look at the harbour with the stunning reflections, it's just so pretty! If you ever visit, you'll be enchanted by the individual coloured doors, the boats bobbing in the harbour and how there's something so nice about someone leaving wellies outside their door. This little visit has made me want to go exploring brand new villages I'm yet to discover here in Cornwall. It's fun to be a tourist in your own county!

I've been making an effort to get out more each day and it makes such a difference to how I'm feeling. I'm not going to lie, I'm definitely feeling the January blues and I haven't shaken them off just yet. It was a lovely weekend though, we celebrated a friend's birthday over breakfast, went for a stroll in the woods where we stumbled upon a greyhound meet up (CUTE) and we also devoured a Marks and Spencer's curry and 2 custard choux buns. A weekend well spent, I say.
