Why Dogs Are So So Perfect

Meet Bob. He's 8 years old, loves cheese and I'm not ashamed to say that he's one of my bezzies. He just gets me you know? I honestly have no idea what I would do without him, he makes coming home so much better, his little tail gives me life and evening cuddles make all my worries disappear.

A few weeks ago, Bob had blood in his urine and just wasn't himself - he wouldn't go for walks and was having accidents around the house. I was so worried that he had bladder cancer, I was even Googling it and getting myself in a state - and we all know using Google is the worst thing for things like this. Thankfully, it turned out to be bladder stones - which is something that is easily treated with an operation but was still a worrying thought as he's just so tiny. Anyway, the reason this post has come around is because situations like that make you realise what a difference a little bundle of fluffy joy brings to your life.

So, here's why I think dogs are the most perfect things in the world...

They will pick you up when you're down

Dogs can always sense how you're feeling. If you're happy, they'll join in and if you're down they will always be there to give you some loving.

You could never be mad at them

You know when you and your dog are happy chilling on the sofa and then they decide to jump off and walk out the door? It's never easy. In fact it SUCKS but not even a part of you will be mad at them. Even if they pee on the floor, your dog can do no wrong.

If you hurt them by accident, they'll forgive you straight away

Have you ever stepped on your dog's foot by accident? Then you'll know that they'll never be moody with you for a whole day - they'll forgive you without a thought, wag their tail and even go in for a lick. What babes.

They will greet you no matter what

When you open the door you'll know there will be that fluffy face waiting on the other side. Is there anything better? Nope.

They get you moving

Dogs are a great reason to get outside and have some fresh air. No matter how small they are, they'll walk for miles and love every second of it.

They are forever a form of entertainment

I could watch Bob for hours. Dogs are such innocent creatures; they're so kind, loving and can be so amusing! Each dog has their own quirks and personality, and it's just wonderful watching them do their thing.

They're an ice breaker too

Meeting someone new or expecting someone round? Your dog will always be there to break the ice. They're a conversation starter, and make the most perfect company.

Dog cuddles make all the difference after a long day

Need I say more?

Dogs just love life and will always love you too

If you're after endless love, a dog is the answer. These amazing animals will always be by your side, offering you comfort when you need it and a lasting friendship you'll never forget.

Never take a dog for granted, they're the best and deserve all the love in the world!

This month Animalbox* got in touch and asked whether I'd like to treat Bob to a little treat. Well, how could I refuse? After his operation and feeling blue, this was just what he needed. Animalbox is basically a monthly subscription box company, providing you with a range of products including toys, food and accessories.

All you do is tell them your dog or cat's size and breed and they create a bespoke box perfect for them.

It's safe to say Bob absolutely LOVED it. He had three new toys, salmon sticks, salmon snack bites, and vitamin paste - just look at his tongue... I think that says it all!
