Mother's DayHappy Mother's Day, I hope you have had a wonderful day. I'm bursting with a dreadful cold - so I'm currently typing this with Lush's Cup O' Coffee face mask and a cup of tea by my side to try and wake myself up. Despite my current state, we did manage to escape the house. I drove my parents and Bob the dog (of course) to grab a coffee and then set off to a nearby clifftop walk in Godrevy. We nearly got blown away, but it was worth it because we spotted some sunbathing seals.
Sunny weekendsThe sun is finally shining! These photos throughout the post were taken on Saturday, when Jack and I took a little road trip to the Lizard. It's a 50-minute drive from us and it's not a place we have visited together. It was absolutely stunning, the panoramic coastal views were dreamy and we couldn't help but snap away.
What I've been watchingI have two recommendations for you this month, Hush and The Replacement.
If you're like me and really struggle to find a good scary movie, give Hush a go - it features a deaf woman, who tries to escape a man trying to kill her in her home. For once, it's a horror with good acting and proper suspense throughout.
I'm a bit behind with the BBC drama but if you haven't seen The Replacement already, it is a must see if you're a fan of psychological thrillers. I binged watched the three episodes and was completely drawn in because you don't have a clue what's going on!
We're also slowly making our way through the American Office and loving every second.
Booking a few days awayJack and I have booked a few days away in Brighton and I seriously can't wait for a change of scenery. We have been saying for ages now that we want to explore the UK a little more! We've booked a beautiful little Airbnb right beside the waterfront, so I can't wait to share our thoughts with you.
Read: Have Something To Look Forward To
Getting back into reading
There's nothing better than getting stuck into a good read, but finding the right book can be hard. I recently read 'The Things You Can Only See When You Slow Down' and it's one of those books that completely changes your perspective on things.
This Zara jumperOnce I make a new purchase, I basically wear the same thing as much as humanly possible. I am living in this jumper right now, it's so so soft and bright red - totally embracing spring! It also has gorgeous bow detailing at the back, so yes, my absolute favourite piece in my wardrobe at the moment.
A new-found confidenceIt can be so easy to knock yourself down and say you're not good enough but you may be surprised how far you can go. I found this month that if you find an opportunity, just go for it - you never know what could happen. Just ask yourself - what have I got to lose? Never doubt yourself, you're better than you think.
What have you been loving lately?
