"There is nothing in nature that blooms all year long, so don't expect yourself to do so either."
I wish I could credit that quote, but I have no idea where it came from other than I stumbled upon it on Pinterest one evening whilst lying in bed. But doesn't it make you feel a little better?
When the flowers start to bloom and pops of pink can be found on your drive to work, it just brightens your day. Everyone has their down times but that doesn't mean it will stay that way forever. All we need are small changes and a brand new perspective to see things slightly differently.
Spring is here, it's time to bloom!
"I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again." - F. Scott Fitzgerald
Let go of toxic people
Relationships are a huge part of your life and contribute to your overall happiness. I love to be surrounded by interesting, supportive people who make me laugh. People who you can sit in silence with and simply enjoy each other's company. People who you haven't spoken to in ages but when you meet it feels just like old times. If you have people who suck the happiness out of you and offers no support, it's ok to end that relationship.
Grab hold of new opportunities
There's nothing like a new chapter! Whether that's meeting new people, attending events or applying for a job interview, these opportunities are a great way to start a fresh. A new adventure could be just what you need!
When you're feeling low, it can be hard to take care of your body and mind properly. Have evenings to yourself, read more, look after your skin, cook from scratch, talk about what's on your mind to someone you love - you'll feel loads better.
Make small changes
Every little thing counts. Walking to work, meeting someone new, going to bed an hour earlier, starting a blog, focusing on a project - small improvements are the way forward!
Start saying yes
A confidence boost can make all the difference, saying yes to situations that push your comfort zone can teach you something new about yourself. You're probably more capable than you think! Go out and do things you never thought you would ever do, you'll probably surprise yourself.
It's ok not to be ok
Like the quote at the top of this post, it's ok not to feel the best version of yourself at all times - but you can always start again.
